Container home in Lille

http://www.mnn.com have a great report on Patrick Partouche’s 2,238-square-foot container home which has been built outside Lille. Using 8 containers the architect has produced a beautiful home.

the home overlooks “a field with cows through a facade of glazed panels” — that was erected on a concrete foundation using eight 40-foot recycled shipping containers in just a matter of three short days.

By leaving the container doors on Partouche has been able to evoke those fantastic french shuttered style windows –  its a faboulous project and as the interior shots show – container homes are certainly not dull on the inside.

Head on over to mnn.com for the full skinny on the projects along with more photographs.  http://www.mnn.com/your-home/remodeling-design/blogs/a-french-shipping-container-home-thats-just-a-little-bit-country
